New playground in Schönried

The popular playground in Schönried was completely demolished and rebuilt in summer 2023.

An application for the new construction of the Schönried playground was submitted in autumn 2022. The village organisation Schönried and Gstaad Saanenland Tourism received the building permit in January 2023, followed by the ground-breaking ceremony for the new playground in Schönried on 12 April 2023. The playground was built by Kukuk Schweiz GmbH. The playground builders also received local support from the Schönried school. Together with the pupils, the picket fence around the playground was embellished with branches and flowers, and a larger-than-average windmill was placed on the round wooden hut.

The popular playground in Schönried is located at the end of the "Saanis Bergerlebnis" adventure trail. It is particularly popular with our younger guests and locals. The playground is located directly on the Saanenmöser - Schönried footpath by a small stream. Large trees provide enough shade - the perfect place to spend a few cosy hours as a family.

Many new play elements are now waiting for the little explorers: 

  • Large climbing area made of wooden logs and ropes with 2 little houses and a slide
  • Spacious sandpit with sun awning
  • Various swings 
  • 3 small trampolines
  • Ropeway 
  • Seesaw and 2 Saanis

From the cosy round wooden hut at one of the three table sets, parents can relax and watch the children play. A few quiet moments can also be enjoyed on the large sun lounger. There is a "dog parking area" for the dogs.

The Schönried playground will be officially opened on 22 September. We cordially invite you all to attend.
