Become a Gift Card Partner

The principle

Our partner Boncard equips each gift card with a magnetic strip, a barcode and a QR code. When a purchase is made in a participating shop/restaurant, the purchase amount is deducted from the gift card balance using a regular credit card device. The purchase amount will be refunded to the store at the end of the month by the billing office (Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus) by bank transfer without deduction. The credit card commission is paid by Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus.

For an overview of all gift voucher transactions, the business receives an automated monthly report by e-mail.

Each participating business can also sell the gift card itself. There are no additional costs. To keep costs as low as possible, billing is carried out by direct debit. A corresponding debit authorization is included in the contract.

In addition, a Gift Card partner has the option of digitizing existing in-house vouchers at special conditions using the same Boncard system. More detailed information is available from Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus.

Fees

In order to finance part of the acquisition and operating costs for such an electronic voucher system, the following fees are charged to participating businesses:

Initialization costs

CHF 60 (excl. VAT) for the activation of all credit card devices once per location

Annual fees

CHF 90 (excl. VAT) per year and location

The participating company will receive a separate invoice by post for the annual fees.

Termination

The contract can be terminated in writing, subject to a 3-month notice period, on 31.10. of each year. Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus must inform the participating company of any adjustment to the annual fees at least 3 months before the adjustment comes into effect.

Data protection

When the partner contract is concluded, the account details you provide will only be used for the execution of chargebacks.

The name of your company, however, will be listed on our website gstaad.ch/giftcard for reasons of transparency vis-à-vis customers and used for advertising measures in connection with the gift card.
