Sarina - our digital travel advisor

On the website www.gstaad.ch you will find since mid-July 2022 our Sarina, a digital ChatBot - respectively our digital travel advisor of the destination Gstaad.

With the help of a chat field, this automated ChatBot provides the best possible answers and useful information to all tourism-related questions. From hiking highlights to sightseeing to travel tips, just to name a few. For now, our Sarina answers in German, English and French are being implemented.

A ChatBot is a computer program that makes it possible for people to chat with a technical system. These automated conversations can take place 24 hours a day. With our ChatBot, the user can enter his questions in a text field. In the future, speech recognition will also be used. The system then tries to provide suitable answers. This is done either through set rules based on keywords or with the help of artificial intelligence. The ChatBot can deduce the user's goal from the questions entered and display the desired information.

All new technical possibilities have their limits; our Sarina will never provide the exact answer to all questions. Therefore, there is still the possibility to connect to the LiveChat, leave a message or call. The question will then be answered directly by our guest relations team. In the background of the system, the questions that Sarina cannot answer are continuously edited so that she is able to answer directly and correctly next time.
