Restaurant Stübli, Posthotel Rössli

The «Stübli» restaurant in the Posthotel Rössli is typical of the locality and remains true to traditional style. It has long been, and still is today, a popular meeting place. People like to pop in for an early morning coffee and a «Gipfeli» (croissant) or enjoy an excellent lunch in the cosy lounge. The “Stübli” has plenty of guests in the evening too, whether for a snack or something more substantial.

Guests have long come from further afield than Gstaad itself. The informal «Beizen» or pub atmosphere is now very popular with tourists who wish to really take part in the local way of life. The «Stübli» has small snuggeries and is decorated with numerous deer, roe-deer and chamois antlers on the walls. The «good old days» can been seen and felt all around, including in the photographs from earlier times. The carefully preserved tranquillity of the spot has not changed in decades.
