Erleben, verstehen, verändern - Barrierefreiheit in Gstaad

Goals and Content:
Bastien Murith shares the story of his life BEFORE and AFTER his swimming accident. He was one of Switzerland's most promising skicross talents and had just successfully completed his high school diploma when he took a dip in the Lac de Géronde – since then, everything has changed. Bastien broke his lowest cervical vertebra and is paralyzed from the chest down. He talks about how he lives today and the challenges he faces as a tourist.
After this presentation, participants will have the opportunity to experience mobility restrictions or visual impairments themselves during the practical part. They will discover Gstaad and its infrastructure from a different perspective. In this way, we aim to foster understanding for the interaction with people with disabilities.
