- Come Up - Slow Down - Take a break and discover our enjoyable places, coffees, restaurants and resting benches!
- Shop locally. You'll get the best memories right here! From cheese to honey and meat, but also traditional paper cutting and more can be found in many local shops. You will also learn a lot about how they are made.

Slow traffic to slow down
During one overnight stay in the holiday region Gstaad, you will receive the digital guest card, the Gstaad Card. With the guest card, public transport (train & bus) in the holiday region is included. A highlight is certainly the train journey on the GoldenPass Express, the panorama or nostalgic train. Almost everything on offer in the region is easy and uncomplicated to reach by public transport. Or why not try a bike, e-bike or simply go on foot?

If you love culinary delights, the holiday region Gstaad is the right place for you. Regional specialities include various types of cheese, dried meat from Simmental cattle and Saanen mustard made from cherry purée.
Ranger tour on Lauenensee
During your stay, take advantage of a guided tour with our ranger directly in the nature reserve at Lauenensee. Thanks to his daily work in nature, he knows the various animals and plants of this area inside out. You can either take the bus or walk from Lauenen village to Lauenensee (approx. 1.5-hour hike).

Our fondue or raclette backpack
Our special backpacks make it possible to enjoy a regionally produced fondue or raclette in the middle of nature.The fondue or raclette backpack with the necessary accessories can be reserved at the dairies in the region or at the restaurant Zitbödeli in Abländschen.
The seven oversized fondue caquelons and two specially equipped huts can be reached on foot, by bike or by public transport.
Overnight stay at the Vorsass (Pre-alp)
Do you want to experience the adventure of an overnight stay on the Vorsass, the foothills of the Alps? Then this is the ideal choice for you. You can combine this visit with a panoramic hike from Gstaad towards Bissen. The friendly welcome and the dinner afterwards make the climb worthwhile. In the morning, you can share in the experience of «käsen» (cheese-making) on an open fire with the milk milked the night before. An unforgettable experience!

A ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through the beautiful area is a year-round highlight in the holiday region Gstaad. Thanks to the various carriage companies and their different routes, there is a great choice of experiences. Your own route requests will also be taken into account.

Saanen mustard – a genuine local product! Every family has its own Saanen mustard secret recipe. It is therefore interesting to produce a jar of Saanen mustard together with the locals. Are you interested in the day-to-day tasks of a mountain farmer? Then this is the perfect activity for you. For example, you can harvest potatoes, work with livestock and tend pastures. Farming is rather atypical in our region, making the experience twice as exciting. You can book a full day (from 8:00 am) or a half day (from 2:00 pm). Depending on the time of day, different tasks await you. So lend a hand!
