Slow traffic to slow down

During one overnight stay in the holiday region Gstaad, you will receive the digital guest card, the Gstaad Card. With the guest card, public transport (train & bus) in the holiday region is included. A highlight is certainly the train journey on the GoldenPass Express, the panorama or nostalgic train. Almost everything on offer in the region is easy and uncomplicated to reach by public transport. Or why not try a bike, e-bike or simply go on foot?

Ranger tour on Lauenensee

During your stay, take advantage of a guided tour with our ranger directly in the nature reserve at Lauenensee. Thanks to his daily work in nature, he knows the various animals and plants of this area inside out. You can either take the bus or walk from Lauenen village to Lauenensee (approx. 1.5-hour hike).

Our fondue or raclette backpack

Our special backpacks make it possible to enjoy a regionally produced fondue or raclette in the middle of nature.The fondue or raclette backpack with the necessary accessories can be reserved at the dairies in the region or at the restaurant Zitbödeli in Abländschen. 

The seven oversized fondue caquelons and two specially equipped huts can be reached on foot, by bike or by public transport.

Overnight stay at the Vorsass (Pre-alp)

Do you want to experience the adventure of an overnight stay on the Vorsass, the foothills of the Alps? Then this is the ideal choice for you. You can combine this visit with a panoramic hike from Gstaad towards Bissen. The friendly welcome and the dinner afterwards make the climb worthwhile. A ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through the beautiful area is a year-round highlight in the holiday region Gstaad. Thanks to the various carriage companies and their different routes, there is a great choice of experiences. Your own route requests will also be taken into account.

Saanen mustard – a genuine local product! Every family has its own Saanen mustard secret recipe. It is therefore interesting to produce a jar of Saanen mustard together with the locals. Geocaching – an experience for young and old

Get to know the region orienteering-style – geocaching offers this and many other adventures. The beautiful village of Saanenmöser is the starting point for this activity. It's easy to experience this digital treasure hunt, thanks to coordinates published on the internet. With the free geocaching app, it's a lot of fun.

There are numerous geocaches hidden away in the area and they are just waiting to be discovered. Guaranteed fun for the whole family is assured as each person discovers new places and insider tips.

Geocaching, also known as GPS scavenger hunting, is a kind of digital treasure hunt. The hidden objects are publicised on the internet using geographic coordinates and are then searched for with the aid of a GPS receiver.

Make your own sledge!

Have you ever conquered the slopes with a sledge you made yourself? With this activity, you can. You will get an insight into the traditional art of toboggan-making and assistance to make your own toboggan. An Älpler Zvieri (Alpine snack) with regional products can be booked on request.

Visit a mountain farm

Are you interested in the day-to-day tasks of a mountain farmer? Then this is the perfect activity for you. For example, you can harvest potatoes, work with livestock and tend pastures. Farming is rather atypical in our region, making the experience twice as exciting. You can book a full day (from 8:00 am) or a half day (from 2:00 pm). Depending on the time of day, different tasks await you. So lend a hand!
