At Schönried station (1230m), go right over the railway line. In front of the sports shop, turn left and walk about 100m. Turn left again to reach the History Trail (Promenade Path). Various panels explain the history of the Gstaad region. This path runs approximately one kilometer flat, then gradually rises slightly. You will cross a small road and continue on a level path to Saanenmöser. Here you have the option to take the train back to Schönried.

  • Approach

    The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland ensure a time-saving and pleasant arrival.
