Making accessibility visible to all

Visible accessibility

Together, we want to provide people with limited mobility with objective and unbiased information about the accessibility of our services.

Please help us!

As a member of the OK:GO initiative, Gstaad Saanenland Tourism supports all regional (tourism) providers in collecting and publishing information about the accessibility of their infrastructure. No distinction is made between ‘barrier-free’ and ‘not barrier-free’. The data collected on the ginto app makes it easier for our guests and locals with limitations to plan their trips, including people with disabilities, senior citizens and families with prams. Participation is free of charge and over 100 businesses are already part of the initiative.

A hand is holding a mobile phone displaying a page of the ginto app. The ginto app logo is visible in the bottom left-hand corner. It is a turquoise square with a small g and a dot in the top right-hand corner.

Procedure:

1. Download the ginto app and register with your email address and password for your own business.

2. Record your business or offering and its accessibility features. The app guides you through the various topics, such as parking spaces, distances, entrances, toilet facilities, rooms, etc. These entries can be adjusted, supplemented or corrected at any time.

3. Publication of the collected data together with the OK:GO emblem on your website.

For example, visualising the space available in a hotel room

The picture shows a hotel room with a double bed and a bunk bed. There is also a wardrobe without doors for clothes. A mother rolls her twin pram into the room. The furniture is dark grey, the carpet is dark blue and the walls are white.
