The route starts in Château-d'Oex with a breathtaking view of the surrounding villages and green meadows. You leave the plain towards alpine pastures and summits to discover an area in the Vaud Alps where nature still rules. The route continues to Rossinière, where you can take a break by the lake before continuing along the Saane river to Rougemont.

  • Approach

    The Gstaad holiday region is located in southwestern Switzerland directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad holiday region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postal bus lines.

  • The route can start in Saanen. On the hiking trail along the Saane, you reach Rougemont via an easy trail.
