Zweisimmen forms the gateway to the world-famous Gstaad-Saanenland region. Above the cozy village, on a terrace with several long hills, lies Sparenmoos. The scenic winter hike on the raised bog begins west of the Sparenmoos mountain house.

With a gentle ascent, the route heads towards Hüsliberg. This section is accompanied by spectacular views of the Simmental and the Vaud Alps. If you look closely during a break at the Hüsliberg alpine hut, you can even observe skiers rushing down the slope at Rinderberg. The hike now does anything but go downhill: with the massive Hundsrügg in sight, the path climbs to the turning point at Schiltenegg. In the Nüjeberg/Uf em Hubel area, it turns east - meadows, raised bog areas, and majestic fir trees in their winter coat now present themselves before our eyes. The path descends steeply for a section, then follows the forest edge and leads over an alpine path back to the starting point.

The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, right on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Greyerz region. Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.
