A label for regionally produced goods from the Gstaad holiday region
Farmers, traditional craftspeople, bakeries, cheese dairies and butchers are already enthusiastically producing a variety of local products. This diversity and high quality are rooted in a long tradition, extensive knowledge and a strong sense of responsibility towards people and nature. Passion and love give rise to unrivalled products. We are proud of this and would like to showcase these as regional products from the Gstaad holiday region.
We are delighted to offer the «Regional ÄCHT – VO HIE» award to the various regional producers for their own regional goods.
The aim is to raise awareness of regional specialities, traditions and products amongst guests and locals alike. It is important to us that these producers actively embrace the three pillars of sustainability (ecology, economy and society), so that future generations can continue to enjoy and develop our «ÄCHT – VO HIE» products.
The «ÄCHT – VO HIE» label is used to increase regional value creation, promote collaboration between different sectors and market innovative, authentic regional products in conjunction with the tourism industry.
Our criteria
«GROWN HERE»
All raw materials used must originate from the Gstaad holiday region. Together with the services provided, they must meet the highest ‘Gstaad quality’ standards. Raw materials may only be sourced from outside the Gstaad holiday region if they are not available within the region (e.g. sugar, pepper, salt, oils, etc.)
«MADE HERE»
The refinement and processing of products must take place in the Gstaad holiday region.
«DEVELOPED HERE»
The product or service was conceived and developed here. It does not matter whether it is traditional or innovative.
«WE ACT SUSTAINABLY»
Logo users expressly commit to sustainability (ecological, economic and social) by embedding this in their corporate philosophy or by producing in accordance with a label that incorporates sustainability principles.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE «ÄCHT – VO HIE» AWARD, AT LEAST THREE OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA MUST BE MET.
