12.06.2026 , Friday

On Friday, June 12, at 8 p.m. the first of three Saaner-Proms concerts will take place at the music pavilion on Sanonaplatz in Saanen.

The Chinderchörli Saanenland was founded in 2001 by Barbara Kohli. Today, 25 to 27 children and young people aged six to 18 sing in it; over 120 have participated since its founding. In 2022, the choir celebrated its 20-year anniversary in Schönried. In 2025, it won the final of the Kleiner Prix Walo in the yodeling category with "Hühnergschicht." The 25-year anniversary will follow in spring 2026. As the Prix Walo young talent winner, the ensemble performed on May 2 at the gala for the 50th Prix Walo on Swiss television. Barbara Kohli has been leading the choir since its inception. The focus is on the joy of music, the preservation of traditional sounds, and performances marked by youthful charm, humor, and vocal precision.
