The Alpenland Hotel is a hideaway surrounded by breathtaking views, due to its location at the foot of the magnificent Lauen mountain range. The Lauener Rohr is home to a picturesque cross-country skiing trail in winter. And at any time of the year, countless hiking trails lead from here across the mountains and to idyllic Lake Lauenen, a spot that features in a song of the same name dedicated to the lake by the rock band 'Span'. The Alpenland Hotel offers guaranteed peace, quiet and relaxation. The rustic chalet boasts 22 charmingly furnished hotel rooms. All have a spacious balcony, with guaranteed fresh mountain air and an unobstructed view of the 3,000-metre Niesehorn, Geltenhorn or Wasserngrat peaks. The cosy alpine restaurant, with probably the most beautiful sun terrace in the Saanenland, is a treat for the palate. Menus, composed of regional and seasonal products, will leave you wanting more, in winter and summer. Lauenen village is a feast for the eyes. The church is a dream location for weddings and concerts. And the richly decorated farmhouses are fine examples of a craftsmanship that continues to this very day, just 10 km from the famous spa resort of Gstaad.
