Bergbeizli Site Alp

Charming alpine restaurant with homemade cheese specialities.

Naturally, the Site Beizli special consists mainly of cheese – what else! We use our own farm produce whenever possible and serve simple but authentic home-cooked menus.

The area around the Sparenmoos moorland is just as idyllic and delightful in winter. Its peace and tranquillity has always been a source of strength, plus the vistas are simply good for the soul. Cross-country skiing trails, a toboggan run, and a winter hiking trail take you all the way to the hut and offer a unique experience.

In summer the Site Alp is well worth the trip, whether it's to watch the tasty alpine cheese being made or to see the contended mountain pigs and grazing cattle.

Daily: kick-scooter rental from beginning of June until approximately mid-September, from mid-September until mid-October depending on the daily weather forecast: adults CHF 15.00; children CHF 12.00. Please call ahead for all group reservations (+41 33 722 18 77 / willkommen@santschis.ch).

We like to keep things simple up here in the mountains; after all, life’s complicated enough as it is! That does mean you can only pay in cash as we don’t accept credit cards.
