Wellbeing and Prosperity

From Chalberhöni to the Grubenberg hut, a stop in the car-free village of Saanen is worthwhile. The modest yet splendid buildings are witnesses to the important role Saanen has always played. After a coffee stop in the village and some longer rests, we ascend past chalets via Underbort to Gspan and further to Rellerli. Here we briefly enjoy the panoramic view and then follow the ridge path to Mittelberg, with views into the Grischbachtal, which represents the "Röstigraben" (language border). From Mittelberg, it is not far to the Grubenberg hut. The SAC hut on Grubenberg is always a special Alpness experience.

Highlights

  • Extensive visit to the village of Saanen
  • The reformed village church of Saanen, first mentioned in a document in 1228, is considered one of the most beautiful in the canton of Bern.
  • Mountain flower spring at Hugeli
