The winter hike begins in Turbach, the idyllic side valley of Gstaad. The quiet village is reachable from Gstaad in less than a quarter of an hour.

Nestled between Wistätthorn, Tube, and Giferspitz, the sunny plain invites you to a hike in wonderful winter scenery. The winter hiking trail runs from the village to Wintermatte. On the way back to Turbach, you can hike on the same path or along the road.

  • Approach

    The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the Gstaad holiday region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines.
