32. Traditional Jazz Workshop Lenk

The Traditional Jazz Workshop Lenk offers hands-on intensive courses and is led by experienced and internationally active top musicians. The core of the instruction consists of individual instrumental lessons and band training; in addition, there is a range of electives such as music theory, ear training, rhythm, improvisation for instrumentalists, and jazz singing for band musicians.

The weekly course deals with the styles of Traditional Jazz (New Orleans, Dixieland, Swing) as well as mainstream and Bossa Nova. There is no entrance exam.

General requirements for participation

• from 15 years old
• not beginners on the instrument (minimum 4 years of lessons)
• basic reading music and music theory knowledge desired
• with or without band experience
