Budapest Festival Orchestra & Iván Fischer | Beethoven Friendship Award

16.08.2026 , Sunday

With this "Duo," every concert becomes an event. Iván Fischer and "his" Budapest Festival Orchestra return with a new program. Together for over forty years on the most significant stages of the world, this ensemble embodies a distinctive familial spirit and artistic dedication. For this evening, young pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason – an emerging star of the international scene and sister of the celebrated cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason – joins to bring Rachmaninoff's most spectacular piano concerto to life. During the concert, the Hungarian maestro will be awarded the "Beethoven Friendship Award" in partnership with the Beethoven House Bonn. This award celebrates the values of friendship and their central importance for musical and human togetherness.
