La Bohème

21.08.2026 , Friday

It has long been a yearly tradition of our festival: an opera in concert form, presented by a first-class cast and the "in-house" orchestra, which just two days later will carry the flames of great operatic drama to the prestigious stage of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. For the staging of Puccini's La bohème this summer, the festival is particularly fortunate to have secured the currently most sought-after tenor in the opera world for the role of Rodolfo: the Franco-Swiss Benjamin Bernheim, trained by Gary Magby at the Haute école de musique de Lausanne – and now celebrated on all the great stages of the world. At his side: the captivating Carolina López Moreno, with Bolivian-Albanian roots, as well as the Franco-American soprano Sandra Hamaoui, with whom Bernheim tied the knot in the south of France last summer.
