Biodiversity is on everyone's lips, we have it between two book covers. What would beautiful nature be without its inhabitants and what should actually be protected? This volume provides many answers, at least for our region, and makes you want to go on a voyage of discovery yourself. Well over 400 animal and plant species are presented in the "Saanenland Nature Guide". The special thing about this guide is that it is completely customised for the Saanenland. The pictures are all taken from the photo archive of the two authors Bert and Ivan Inäbnit. Father and son are excellent nature experts who are almost as much at home in the woods and meadows as they are in their own four walls. The nature guide distinguishes between five different plant and animal species, which are then organised thematically in the individual sections. With three entries per page and one picture with accompanying text per entry, the content is very clearly organised. The index at the end of the book is ideal for quick searches. The compact format makes the nature guide the ideal companion for travelling. The authors point out that the "Naturfüher Saanenland" only covers a small part of the flora and fauna. For many, however, it will be more than they will ever see. All the better if it awakens interest in nature and raises awareness.
