The picturesque Seebergsee above Zweisimmen and the surrounding Alps have become an even more attractive hiking area since the opening of the new circular hiking trail. On the footpath around the Muntiggalm, hikers enjoy views of Zweisimmen, towards Saanenmöser, the Rinderberg, and Sparenmoos.

From the parking lot above Meienberg, it goes on a narrow hiking trail over the mountain ridge to the small pass «Puur» above Seebergsee. From there directly and winding down to the lake. A refreshing cooling in the clear spring water of Seebergsee revitalizes body, mind and soul.

Then the hike leads on the alpine path to Alp Stiereberg. The view of Seehore may include ibexes. A stop at the alpine inn Stierenberg strengthens tired hikers. Then you descend on the hiking trail into the Muntiggrabe before going up a little to Eggmad and from there back to the starting point.

The approach is from the Zweisimmen station to Meienberg by hiking taxi. The hiking taxi runs twice a week during the summer season, to book the day before until 17:00.

An extra hiking taxi can also be booked at any time well in advance:
